Day 1: Draw it
15 minute sketch of "Arnolfini Wedding"
Day 2: Write it

Year: 1434
Shows a merchant and his wife being married in their home. First painting to show everyday life.
Symbolism:
Carved figure on the bedpost - Saint Margaret, patron saint of pregnancy and childbirth
Signature on wall - documentation of an event "Jan van Eyck was here"
Dog - loyalty
Green dress - hope
White cap - purity or sign of being married
Mirror - purity
Prayer beads and images around mirror - piety of the couple (they were religious)
Candles - Lit candle means life while the burnt out one means death.
Cherries - love
Oranges - wealth
Day 3: Creative Drawing
Spend 15 minutes drawing a picture of a/some fictional character(s) (movie, book, comics, etc.) and include symbolism in the picture that represents them.
